We are looking for an aspiring Head of Managed Service for our Vascular Ultrasound Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral.

You must be Accredited Clinical Vascular Scientist with at least 2 years post AVS experience and strong desire to lead and manage high performing team.

The Unit is well established with great working relationships with surgeons, consultants and other medical professionals. We have 2 well equipped ultrasound rooms and an office. The candidate is expected to live within reasonable commuting distance from the hospital. Relocation welcome bonus subject to application.

At IVS, our team are the beating heart of everything we do. Alongside our very competitive salary and pension, we offer a fantastic benefits package. This includes: loyalty bonus, shares in the company, conference fees, University fees, SVT membership fees, SOR indemnity insurance, parking fees, E-car scheme, mileage and expenses, a laptop and iPhone. We also offer wider benefits including death in service insurance, car breakdown cover, personal and family financial advice, eye tests, friends and family discount on services and much more. We have also introduced a staff benefits portal offering further rewards. We have an open approach to flexible working and it is essential our staff benefit from a good work/life balance.

IVS Ltd is an exciting place to work with our outstanding clinical teams spread across our eight full-time sites. The successful candidates would be joining a company of over 50 vascular scientists and 4 admin support staff. IVS Ltd was one of the first UKAS-accredited vascular labs in the UK and we remain accredited after 9 successful years.

Quality and diagnostic excellence runs throughout all areas of our business. We are fully CQC-registered as Good Provider. We offer a multitude of opportunities to diversify your career within a growing company. This includes an extremely active research team with a heavy focus on the development of 3D ultrasound in vascular applications and the design of new diagnostic protocols.

There are opportunities to progress your research skills including study design, data analysis and interpretation, contribution to scientific journal publication, and conference presentations. Expansion of our training team has provided opportunities to deliver internal and external training forums, study days, and deliver lectures for STP and PTP programmes at neighbouring Universities. Further development of your scanning modalities is possible as we routinely use CEUS for assessment of EVAR endoleaks, perform dynamic imaging to diagnose MALS and PAES, undertake GCA examinations and we are experts in using trans-vaginal ultrasound for assessing pelvic vein insufficiency.

We have a remote quality analysis service so quality assurance image analysis work can be undertaken from your home, using your vascular ultrasound skills but reducing musculo-skeletal risks and lengthening your career. We have a rolling machine upgrade programme, with most sites using Phillips Epiq, Phillips Affiniti or Mindray Resona scanners, with a range of portable scanners for ward scans and outreach clinics. We perform the full range of vascular ultrasound assessments at all our sites, with training available in unfamiliar modalities if required. We provide weekend cover at four of our sites which is shared between all staff and can be a significant extra source of income.

Join our team and help more patients to access quality diagnostics.

Full driving license and access to a car is essential.
