RSM Venous Forum

• Education and training – conferences, workshops, webinars and teaching around venous disease.
• Guidance and standards – producing guidance to support evidence-based clinical practice, for example on venous leg ulcers and VTE prophylaxis for varicose vein procedures.
• Research – encouraging and supporting research into venous disease and new technologies.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration – bringing together vascular surgeons, vascular scientists, nurses, radiologists and other professionals involved in venous care.
• Discussion/debate around emerging issues – including who should deliver venous interventions, workforce issues, complex deep venous disease and appropriate use of new technologies.
• Supporting trainees and early-career professionals – through educational meetings, abstracts, presentations and opportunities to engage with experts.
• Professional networking – connecting people working in venous disease across the UK.
• Raising the profile of venous disease – particularly where there are problems with pathways, waiting lists, workforce or standards of care.

They also have a Venous Forum Prize for venous research presented at the Vascular Society Annual Scientific Meeting.
