CSVS President Christmas message
23rd Dec 2025

Dear Colleague,
The tragic events in Australia recently were deeply shocking. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and our colleagues providing vital medical care during this difficult time.
Closer to home, this year has been one of the most challenging I can recall for the NHS, marked by significant uncertainty due to organisational restructures both locally and nationally.
While the NHS 10-Year Health Plan is not entirely new, it represents a positive step forward—one in which Clinical Vascular Scientists will play a crucial role throughout 2026.
As we approach the festive season, our warmest wishes go to those celebrating Hanukkah and Christmas in the coming days. We hope everyone—whether celebrating or not—finds time to rest and recharge away from the pressures of work.
To those working during this period, thank you for your dedication. I hope you, too, can find moments for yourselves.
On behalf of the Executive Committee and myself, we wish you a Happy New Year.
Yours sincerely, Dr Steven Rogers
