Vascular Sonographer - Christchurch, New Zealand
Here is a fantastic opportunity to work as a vascular sonographer at Christchurch Vascular Group (CVG). We are looking for an experienced Vascular Sonographer to join our friendly team. CVG is private vascular surgery provider consisting of 6 vascular surgeons, two vascular sonographers, office and nursing staff.
The role will involve the performance and reporting of a full range of non-invasive vascular investigations including but not limited to peripheral arterial and venous insufficiency assessments, AAA screening and surveillance, post-operative surveillance scanning, carotid duplex, and transabdominal pelvic venous insufficiency assessment. We also perform stress testing for elite athletes with suspected iliac endofibrosis and various entrapment disorders. This role may also involve sessions at Christchurch Public Hospital depending on service need.
Training can be provided where necessary however, it is expected that the successful candidate is able undertake core scanning duties (venous and arterial insufficiency and carotid duplex) without supervision. As such, the successful applicant will have at least 2 years post graduate experience. The successful candidate must meet the requirements of the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of New Zealand for certification to practice. Junior applicants will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Core working hours will include time allocated for professional development and a personal development budget will be made available to cover the cost of attending conferences and training days. A one off relocation payment will also be made available. This role also includes a generous annual leave entitlement. Christchurch is a vibrant and lively city with plenty to offer all ages. New Zealand’s great outdoors are easily accessible from the city with surfing beaches and the port hills within the city limits and the southern alps only an hour’s drive away.
