There has never been a better time to join the Vascular team at the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI). The landscape of vascular services in Manchester is changing and the future has never looked so bright for us here at the MRI.
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Vascular Scientist (CVS) or Vascular Sonographer to join our friendly NHS team to perform a full range of vascular scans.
You’ll work closely with a welcoming, dedicated, busy team that includes both Vascular Scientists and Physiologists and an out-patient co-ordinator. You’ll also have the chance to work closely with vascular surgeons, radiologists, nurse specialists as well as the stroke, cardiac, rheumatology, ophthalmology, haematology, nephrology and transplant teams
Our facilities provide the ideal environment in which to enhance your skills with state of the art equipment and services to provide a comprehensive vascular diagnostic and surveillance service for the Adults, Women’s, Children’s and Eye hospitals together with outreach clinics at Trafford.
With a strong focus on staff health and well-being and continued professional development, there is opportunity for monthly remedial massage to help manage work related upper limb injuries along with 20% protected non scanning time to devote to education, research and audit.
The ideal applicant will have accreditation to the SVT for GB & I or have graduated from the STP programme with equivalent vascular experience; however, consideration will be given to candidates approaching accreditation/graduation.
Friendly, focused and a good communicator, you will enjoy working with patients, their families, and your colleagues, and you will be dedicated to delivering a high standard of care. In return we can offer you excellent benefits including a pension, tax free child care vouchers, together with support for your continued professional development.
We look forward to hearing from you!
