Our Vascular Science team are looking for two Band 7 Clinical Vascular Scientists to join our team of nine Vascular Scientists (three B8s, three B7s and four B6s), three Support Associates and a Quality & Governance manager. Our model provides us with a skill mix to provide the highest quality of patient care while supporting the training, development and needs of everyone in our team. We provide a full range of vascular assessments to inpatients and outpatients in the Bristol and North Somerset region at either our Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) or Weston General Hospital (WGH) site. You will be expected to independently perform, interpret and report vascular assessments in a timely manner. Our BRI department is open Monday-Friday and consists of five air-conditioned clinical rooms all equipped with an ultrasound machine, a workstation, an adjustable couch and scanning stool. In addition we have six spacious scientist workstations in our office space, which is adjoined to a kitchen area to provide staff with space to rest, away from the clinical environment. We also provide a service at WGH three days a week. Staff are required to scan at both hospital sites, which are served well by public transport. We come together as a team weekly to keep updated, support each other and share learning opportunities. All our staff are encouraged to lead and contribute to research, audit and service evaluation projects. As a Band 7 joining our team you will be guaranteed one day a week to focus on your own development and non-patient facing professional interests, which will be supported by our Band 8 Training and Development Lead.
