Clincial Vascular Scientist, part-time

Working primarily at Frimley Park Hospital, on the borders of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire; with some shifts in other local satellite hospitals and clinics.

We are currently looking for an experienced, SVT-accredited Clinical Vascular Scientist / Vascular Sonographer to join our 6 member team; providing a high quality vascular ultrasound service to Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. Ideally, the successful candidate will work on a Thursday and Friday, with sessions from 9am - 3pm. (6 hour days). Alternative days may be considered. Part-time Salary : £21,141.12 p.a. (£33.88 p.h.) - (This represent £52,852.80 p.a. f-t. equivalent) Based at Frimley Park Hospital, but also working flexibly to support other contracts in the local area; the successful candidate will be expected to work independently, performing, interpreting and reporting a comprehensive range of non-invasive vascular ultrasound investigations for the diagnosis and surveillance of peripheral vascular disease. The service is provided with in the Vascular Ultrasound Lab, as well as with in outpatient clinics, on the wards, ICU, theatre and recovery. And with in satellite clinics in local & neighbouring regions. All our staff are encouraged to contribute to help with the smooth-running of the Vascular Ultrasound Service including taking part in research, audit and service-evaluation programs. On top of the higher-than-normal pay rate, our Staff Benefit package includes reimbursement for: Professional membership (SVT/BMUS), Travel & Parking, as well as paying for a staff Indemnity Insurance scheme.
